    DC3 Into Narsarssuak, Greenland Video

What a fantastic video. Ferrying the DC3 across the pond, stopping in Narsarssuak with a very tricky approach. The flight begins with some mechanical vibrations after TO, then continues to Greenland with some spectacular views.
A must for any DC3 addict.

That was 1 of 15 US-based DC-3's/C-47's that made the trip across the Atlantic back in late May/early June to take part in the D-Day 75th Anniversary commemorations (as well as a few follow-up events, such as the Berlin Airlift 70th Anniversary). It was fun following them on the flight trackers and their individual Facebook pages for their journeys across, their time in Europe, and their return trips back to the US.

"Clipper Tabitha May" Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pg/ClipperTabithaMay/ also has some fantastic photos taken during the trip.

Some of the others that participated, with their own videos and photos:

I like that they had Gann's book with them. That was appropriate! As they said, Gann's account of flying that leg in 1942 is simply unforgettable. Every time I flew there in FS, I never even contemplated runway 24, tail wind be damned! That was a fun video!
