    If there's any interest...

Some more reworks of the old Zuyax - 3 Aces Spitfire Mk.Vb.

Let's see if Led Zep can spot one he might like...

Only one of these aircraft is flown by a British pilot!

I've just uploaded 10 Mk.Vbs, mostly with the Merlin 45 engine. There may be a second package later.

Took on the Bf-109F-2-(set at Ace) and shot him down in about 20 sec. . This revamped Spifire Mk V can sure out turn a 109 at around 10,000 ft. Awesome ! He should have never turned ! Great job on these ! Thanks Nigel ! Cheers,Scott

    Spitfire Vb set

Many thanks Nigel, great work, your efforts are much appreciated by all CFS3 fans i`m sure.
The Vb was a popular version as 6,487 were built, more than any other Mk

Considering that the Spitfire has 40% more wing area with a comparable weight, nothing else should be expected. The Messerschmitt has the advantage of being able to enter and leave the fight at will thanks to its better acceleration and climb rate but as soon as the turning starts it's in serious trouble.

Further developed to the Mk.IX and XVI (shown in the pic) being assembled at Castle Bromwich, I think!

    Cheers, Nigel!

Thanks Nigel! In my Channel Front 1941 campaign testing, your Vb eats 109Fs for breakfast. Haven't advanced the campaign enough to see how the Vb goes against the early Fw190s . . .

Tried the new Spitfire MkV's against the new SJ Fw-190A's and at 20,000 ft it was no contest. The Spitfires came out on top ! What a blast to fly if flown correctly. Thanks so much for these! prefer these to the early P-51's by far, especially above 10,000 ft. Regards,Scott
