man, that was cumbersome!!!
but it's done!

Nice!
Never had (or maybe noticed) a low-vis RN paint on DG's Hunter all this time. Look forward to this one too.
thanks,
dl
yes there is one in the faa hunters, in the extra package. along with ga11 and pr 11 models.
These look superb. At the Aircraft Museum where I work we have two Hunters a GA.11 and a T.7. So if need anything, please by all means just ask.
We run a little simulator for our visitors where the budding pilot takes off in the single seater and does a circuit of the local area before landing back from where he or she started. Very popular and using the DG Hunter with permission of course. Would be nice to have the two painted up to run in the sim!
Best wishes,
Martin
They look fantastic.
does anyone know if these hunters work in P3D v4?
The 2-sticks do. See here.
Dave
All my stuff works ok in v4, except the early fs9 stuff.
(Replied to this thread earlier, but it seems to have disappeared!)
last bit of job... stenciling, i use some 1/32 model kit plan to do the job, some decals are obvious, but some aren't and far from it
If someone has the original decals sheet that matches those numbers, i'd be a happy man.
cheers!
Awesome work well huge actually but as a fan and user of the DG Hunter this a great polish up. Following your work with interest.
Question, I think you remarked that the all over single colours were a problem, I guess I was curious as to whether the F6 texture xf506 the all black Hunter was on your to do list. If not thats fine.
actually, i didn't encounter any major "making" problem until now except the ones i created myself with by adding some random lighting layers that encountered some mapping frontiers. The original paintkit was great, with imbedded meshes, and plans. The most cumbersome part was the guns front plates so far as one of them is split between the side and bottom of the fuselage texture.
The grey low vis scheme was no problem to make.
For the ones you mentionned, yes i planned to remake em as they are a part of the original release, but exactly like the fradu ones, the problem will be in the shine effect, with a more "clean" plane effect that is far harder to produce than a dirty one.
it is very possible that i make several ones to grant formation flying as it's only a matter of numbers once the first one is finished.
my main concern now is that my original plan was just to make an updated 4K paintkit for general use, but the more i dig, the bigger it gets, the fuselage sheet only is 3.5gb already, with 150+ layers that i won't be able to simplify as they have different mode/density of fusion according to the paintscheme you work on.And i didn't detailed the riveting of the tail plans yet as i saw on some walkaround i received yesterday. So more layers ahead i'm affraid.
So it is more probable that i'll do the texture myself and release them .
cheers!
ok almost through, alphas balanced and pushed way up, i finally get a bit of shine, but gloss is far away, stencils done, tail planes shaping shadows work, next will be a blue diamond'bird to see how a colorfull scheme reacts to all that.
cheers

You're doing a damn fine job.
Fancy doing some PBR textures?
hi! that would be a first, but why not!
here it is... but something is going south on that belly...
cheers!
hi , been adding some shadows on tail planes and fin edges, first batch of "finished" repaints, is fradu's ,two low vis and 3 classics. Then will be PR10 and fga9, classic roundels and lowvis.
thats all!
here it is, low vis fga9 with the little painted front edge of the wings and intakes , the gun ports really looks the part! added metal shine to the nozzle, i couldn't enhance the sabrinas as i'd like, nor the airbrake for the same reason. Any way, i guess now is the time to stop and release.
chears
coming back home....
plzzz orbxxx make switzerland fast!!!!
hi all, been working on the weaquay museum hunter today, here it is, wv256
1985
pre 1985,
present day in the museum,
i really want to thank martin who kindly provided me some good pictures, the nose emblem, the stencils are taken directly from their hunter, like the hood jetison handle wich is the real one untouched except for a bit of perspective correction.
i had some choices to make as the model aint exactly the same. WV256 is a former ga11 with tail hook and no guns brought back to an f4 paint scheme. The problem is that this modeled GA 11 has the marshall lamp on the beak and a F6 nozzle section, the other is that the f4 model has the good nose and exhaust sections but has the guns and no tail hook.... so as the texture remains the same... (got it??? ) you'll pick up the one you want.
cheers!
Hello!
Just wondering if you finished these lovely Hunter repaints - they look absolutely delightful.
Hope you're well, NB!

This project had so much promise ... shame it / the author disappeared.
That said, am posting to ask if anyone is aware of a Royal Navy T.8 or T.8M in late (so all-round ESDG / dark grey, not ESDG with white undersides) repaint scheme?
There's an included T.8M in the early (ESDG+white undersides), and the Navy single seat pack has all-round ESDG GA-11 and FRADU schemes. But looking for the trainer in all-round Royal Navy dark, as per below:
XL310 or XF358 T.8 Mk C is the ideal, but the radar T.8M trainer would suffice ...

Are all of these FS9 from 2004 by DG Designs? That is all I was able to find at AVSIM.
It being in the FSX thread, I assume he was modding Garwood’s FSX Hunter. It truly is a timeless masterpiece. It looks and performs in P3D now as good as it ever did in FSX. There’s three packs available-RAF single seaters, RN FAA single seaters, and the two-holers from both UK air arms. And since, many repaints have been done. Later period RN FAA schemes don’t seem to tickle too many people’s interest, so no surprise an all ESDG two-holer wasn’t done.
Let me know if you need help finding the FSX packs. They’re in my top 10 favourite FSX freeware, if not top 5. Don’t let the fact they’re over a decade old put you off-they’re gorgeous, and very accurate. And with distinctive wing shapes, a range of model variations, it can’t be overstated how dramatically accurate these are - either by freeware standards, or even payware .
