Any USN types ever seen one of these?

I bought this off of eBay, way back around 1999/2000 from a old retired Master Chief who, at the time, had a business selling salvage from a ship scrapyard in TX. I believe he said it was a engine room alarm. It makes a VERY loud buzzing noise. I know it works, as I connected electricity to it once, many years ago. I've never had a use for it though. It has remained in a storage locker of mine ever since. NC

I found some on the internet. It looks like there was another company (Henschel) that made them as well as Edwards. (Unless it was the same company after a buyout.) The old listing I saw from ebay listed at $460. Very cool, just wish we could hear it!

Whoa! Am sure I paid around $75 for it... Of course that was many years ago...

Had one, but not anymore. I do have a signal light...the type with the shutters? Stainless steel. Pete

Small picture here, but this is what it looks like when installed near my patio. Currently it is disassembled, ready for me to paint haze gray.

Oh, a signal light! That's even better than a battle lantern!
