Uploaded Messerschmitt Bf 109B1 early version for CFS2!

    Hi Folks,
Just finished and uploaded the CFS2 version of my Messerschmitt Bf 109B1 early Luftwaffe fighter.

I'm pleased that it seems to have no FR effect...so go use Gruppen of them!

    Cheers

Thanks Shessi! Beautiful work as always.

A few screenies of the JG132 version up against another of your creations, the Avro-Manchester, somewhere over the Gilbert Islands.

    Cheers,

This will be fun to fly against with Ivan's I-16 type 5 and 6.

    Or maybe even the A5M?

    Hi Shessi
Good looking bird. The Manchester looks good as well.
    Thanks for that.

Looking very sharp. Thanks for all your work on this 109 Shessi. Is this the start of a new mine for CFS2?

    Shessi,

Thank you for correcting this long-absent series from CFS2, especially for SCW fans. These are truly individual masterpieces.

I hope you can write a tutorial on how to modify IL-2 planes for CFS2.

    Shessi,

Thanks for the new ship. Now is this Bf-109B-1 intended to have a fixed pitch prop or a constant speed prop? A few early B-1s were field converted to use constant speed props, but most were fixed. The reason I ask is when I pull the prop lever on my HOTAS, I see that the RPMs rise and fall. Also, what are the typical power settings for a Jumo 210D? I am seeing 1.6 ata at full power, and I expected lower than that, say around 1.3 ata.

    Hallo Browncat,

the original B-1 had just a fixed pitch.
For FS9 I tried to tweak the engine and propeller entries in the aircraft.cfg to give the bird the right engine and prop caracter.
But I failled, so we left it in the cfg with a constant speed prop,
for flying the B-1 forget the propeller, leave it at full pitch.
to make the take off run , full throttle with 1.3 ata
as soon you are airborne and lift the gears reduce power to 1.2 ata for the climb
this is Start- und Kampfleistung (your take off and combat power)
than on cruise (patrol) flight reduce again than to 1.0 -1.1 ata
Oh just a remark concerning the speed; do not forget that the speed indicated on the speedo is not the speed over ground.
as higher you fly the real speed is some what highr than the indicated speed

    Hi BC,

It's difficult to get the flight/engine characteristics spot on in both Fs9 and CFS2 sims. Mostly because we are dealing with ac we or anyone else have never flown, and CFS2 is a pretty old/simple flightsim. So as Papi explained, just leave your prop settings alone and fly just on power settings.

The B2, C1 and D1...I will eventually do, do have variable props, so you can have a play with them then!

    Cheers

    Hallo BC

there was a time that when I had the oportunity to put my hands on original german flight manuals I tried to trans late the in english and to match flightsim conditions.
Now I believe that no-one will read them no have real interest with them. So I use them just for my self or if do not almost have them him self I share them with Shessi.
If one day there will be a real demand for them - - -
For those who can understand german a real interesting site is :
    deutsche cockpit instrumente.com
You find a lot of german docs and also somme allied docs.
