Need some help to edit DP

I need some help from an old pro with dp file. What location and numbers move the gun, bombs, and rockets forward, up,down, back on the model. I tried the dp editor and got mdl error.
any help would be great. Thanks

DP editor was made during the FS98/CFS1 era and the MDL reading part was never updated for CFS2 era models. A mdl error is normal. Just hit OK and keep working. You will be able to edit guns and hardpoints just fine.

To do things by hand you need to edit the numbers listed under [HARDPOINTS] in the dp. What I do is have the sim in Free Flight and check the plane in game. Change planes, Edit the DP and save. Change back and see what change happened.

Never save the DP while the plane is loaded in Free Flight.

Hard point numbers have three numbers. 000,000,000 is the first going front to back the second up and down the third I don't know? does anyone have this information?

FIRST + STBD or - PORT of model centre (looking towards the aircraft nose)

SECOND + ABOVE or - BELOW of model centre (looking at aircraft in level flight)

THIRD + FORWARD or - AFT of model centre (looking at aircraft in level flight)

Units appear to be in meters

some simple trial & error adjust, view, adjust would've sorted this out for you in 5 minutes though ...

Yep, the measurements are in metres. Always best to rely on the Mk.1 eyeball for fine adjustments.
You will probably find this stuff addictive!
