You don't have to be a Luftwaffe fan to enjoy this plane. Just fun to fly... and another great piece of work from Shessi.

    Haha, right!
I especially like the momentum effect on takeoff, was expecting it.

Well Firstly thanks to the guys at SAS for making the original IL-2 model and tex, wouldn't be here without them!

Thanks also to Huub for his great 109 knowledge/help and textures tweaking...

    C and H,
Glad you like it, looks great and flys well in Fs9, and will be coming in CFS2 and FSX flavours soon...and, cheers, I'll take that pint!

Papi is also doing a better 2D panel for us soon.

    Cheers

It has been a pleasure Shessi!

Fake? No, as here is the proof!

To celebrate Günter Lützow's first victory a laurel wreath with a silver 1 and the date 6 April 1937 was painted on his aircraft and at the nationalist marking on the fuselage a face with beer mug was painted with text "pass uff (Watch out in German dialect). Lützow had scored 108 victories when he was killed in a dog flight with a Thunderbolt on the 24th of April 1945. Earlier that day he had scores his last victory, a B-26 Marauder.
Lützow was one of the pilots who openly criticised Hermann Göring during the "Pilot's mutiny" in November 1944. He was banned for this to Italy, but returned to Germany in April 1945 to defend his country as pilot with JG44 (Galland's Circus). He died less than 2 weeks before the end of the war.

Shessi, thank you very much for all your hard work on this. She's a beauty that's for sure, especially with the WW tyres. And I'm not trying to rile anyone as I don't normally like them but your textures certainly make them look good.

    Hi Taff,
Really glad you and others like the wee beastie. But just to be clear, although I brought it into Fs9 et al, and that did take a lot of work/effort, even with the tex, I didn't actually paint the tex or build the original model.

(ssshhh I agree I like the ww tyres on the V3....)

    Papi,
Very nice, I hope you, Huub and others do some re-tex and upload, there are a huge amount of options to choose from

    Cheers

Quite a few years ago, I found a Hurricane with transparent skin, so you could see the spars and all the insides of the plane.

It could be great to have something similar with an opposition plane..

Indeed, but the transparent Hurricane I found was for FS2004.

    I made a trasparent 109 long ago.
I think it was for CFS2.
    Maybe still available at Flightsim.com
