Interesting that the article referred to Viraat as the "oldest aircraft carrier in the world". While it's true that until 2017 it was the oldest carrier in active service, once it was retired it could not claim that anymore, I think the oldest carrier still floating must be Lexington (CV-16).

I am serious, and stop calling me Shirley.
A real shame. I do understand that it is quite expensive to maintain a vessel of such size as a museum piece, but it is a piece of naval military history that will be forever lost.
My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
And it gets worse, the end result will probably be more of those horrible 'Made in India' Royal Enfield antiques!
