Thread: Best PBR setup for V4.5?

  1. #26
    Hi Tim,
Ok, after my research it looks like for 90% Im sure its a LM and P3Dv4.4+ bug and it's present always, on orginal screenshots of models also (maybe on lower screenshot resolution and with FXAA = on, what I dont like it because it blurs the picture, its less visible).

Today I tested my "old" solution for antyaliasing which I used for FSX long time ago and I see it works very OK with PBR models. The result surprise me!
Maybe its a Holy Grail for models used PBR?

I turn on Sparse Grid Supersampling which is very good for the final effect and... see this (check lines, here are default textures without MipMaps):

Also C140 looks a lot of better:

What is very important use SGSS = the same like MSAA or SSAA in P3Dv4.5 so if 4x use 4x also.

Minus of Sparse Grid Supersampling is few FPS less (I have unlimited, the cost is -10 fps for 4xSGSS but if we take 10 fps from 110 it isnt very noticable ).

The best result for me after tests (quality and performance) recive 4x SGSS and 4x MSAA. I advice to check this settings.

Here are my settings, pls check it and back here, if it will be ok I add in on MV Forum also:

Hi Tim, are You here still?
This setup above solved problem (but biggest impact for full overcast for sure with FPS).

Btw. PMDG image (from PBR update), see lines :
