    Making railroad additions and sidings

I think I am sure how to do the splines but I don't seem to have any evidence of tracks as in the Rail Textures dds files. Anyone have any ideas on this? Frosty who is helping me is not too sure yet (AFAIK)

Nope, I'm no rail expert, lol. At a guess I suppose the rail.dds texture gets applied along the railroad vectors in CFS3, by default. Perhaps when you make a spline CFS3 treats it as an extension to a rail vector, and applies the default rail.dds texture over the default textures for railyards?

    Wild guess.

Well that was what Joost and I were hoping but it hasn't shown up yet. I'll have another look and get back.
