I put a Chevy Corvair 110 engine in a 1961 VW bug. A lot easier than it sounds. For some reason I can't see the videos in this forum any more... must be an Internet Explorer thing.

I was looking for parts many years ago and found a Carmen Gia with a Corvair flat 6 installed. To bad it was left in the wrecking yard and it was a complete car.

I saw this one on DW network a few years back also.

Many years ago (50?) here in NZ, there was a guy with a Porsche 356 engine in a Fiat 500 Bambina! That went well, and, like all overpowered Bambinas, spun well.....

Ah yes, the jet beetle, hard to believe it's been 10 years since I saw this one.
