It was a great news piece this morning!
As is mentioned towards the end, 15 DC-3's/C-47's from the US made it over to England for the "Daks Over Normandy" and related events taking place this week, joining more than 15 other DC-3's/C-47's from England, Europe and Russia - 34 in all are confirmed as to be participating in the "Daks Over Normandy" flyovers, with 9 of them being actual D-Day vets:
42-24064 - "Placid Lassie" N74589
43-30647 - "Virginia Ann" N62CC
42-32833 - "Liberty" N25641
42-68830 - "D-Day Doll" N45366
42-92847 - "That's All Brother" N47TB
42-100882 - "Drag-'em-oot" N473DC
42-100884 - "Mayfly" N147DC
42-100971 - "Prinses Amalia" PH-PBA
43-30732 - "Daisy" SE-CFP
Most of these aircraft are also staying for and participating in Berlin Airlift 70th Anniversary events taking place in Germany in a couple weeks, and then at least six of the US planes are going to an airshow event in Italy June 21-23. "That's All Brother" will be at the Paris Airshow from 19th through 23rd of June.
As many as 9 of the US DC-3's/C-47's are participating in a Shuttleworth Collection event at Old Warden today. Video of the arrival of 7 of them, yesterday, can be seen here (very unique to see a DC-3 at an airfield like Old Warden, let alone 7 of them!):
