The Leticia Incident ... Avro Wars for Nigel!!

Consolidated PT-11 in Columbian marks which started my background research...

In 1932-33 Columbia and Peru had a little war over part of the Amazon ; this became known as the Leticia Incident

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leticia_Incident

Columbia didn't have an Air Force , so pressed into service anything that could be fitted with floats (as there were no airfields in the area) until Curtiss Hawk floatplane fighters could be acquired and deployed, to 'see off' the invaders from Peru

Likewise Peru did the same, although their Air Force was a bit more organised, and there were 'floatplane vs floatplane' dogfights over the Amazon.

This is my take on the incident using Nigel's Avro (what else) , colours are approximate ,best guess ,artist licence.

    Comments welcome

Amazing and imaginative work - kudos Pete!
