Been keeping a very close eye on this one and it looks like it's almost finished. That being said, I can't wait to add another of Rob's wonderful aircraft to my hangar! I do wonder if he'll take on the 330 next. One can dream, right?

Is it for FSX or P3D???

I believe Rob stated elsewhere that he is no longer making aircraft for FSX.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try,try again. ... or go read the manual.

Correct, only P3D and actually only the V4.+ P3D versions. I have V2.5 still and it didn't show. I asked Rob about it and he said he was using the V4.5 SDK.

It seems to be a must have! Rob Richardson say on his web site he is working with Blender and, at a expense of managing 2 modeldef.xml, a FSX version would be possible to make with the Blender Toolkit. But, maybe, some serious advantages of P3DV4 are used. Moreover, it is a painful constraint to manage two versions. Choose to focus on P3DV4 is very understandable.

I think he is also making the twin tail cargo version as well, based on earlier shots he had there. We'll see. It's definitely getting placed in my hanger.

I don't think it will be much longer. Rob is doing one more livery and adding some final details to the VC. Looks great in both sims though.

I didn't think I had seen any 330 shots on his website, but to be certain I asked about it and he said if anyone saw a 330 it wasn't on his site. . . and that he had no plans to do one at this time. I'm waiting on one more final model to test and then I believe he plans to release it.

He originally had the blueprints up there before the model and it showed both versions, so I just assumed he was making both models. My bad.

He sent me one, but I have not used it yet. I'll see if it's ok to release as is or if he's refining it before he lets it go public.

Just saw that he posted a download link on his website.

Think he might make a freighter version without the seats? Lot's of Shed's out there hauling freight. FedEx and Air Cargo Carriers comes to mind.

A suggestion to the mods ....

This thread, focused on a release from one of our own who's done a lot freeware releases over the years, deserves to be stickied.

I'll chalk it up to an honest oversight, but it's been out for over four days now. It's a small gesture that if any payware project deserves, then this gift ang work of love deserves even more so.

It's a finely modelled finished product, some nice sounds, and fun and easy to fly - and lots of repaint potential.

    Food for thought.

    dl
