Need some help with Orbx Central

Hi all... need some help please... posted this on another tech support site, so please forgive what you obviously already know about Orbx FTX Central...
    ------------
I recently did a reinstall of windows 10 professional and am also trying to install an Orbx tool called FTX Central, which is used to remotely download and install scenery into the sim. this is payware high end stuff and they have a proprietary tool to install the software. The FTXC tool fails on installation because of an error below:

We were unable to start the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS). This is used to download large files in FTX Central. It must be enabled for FTX Centrals download functionality to work.
When you click "OK", your web browser will open with instructions on how to re-enable BITS.
The error we received was: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with
CLSID {4991D34B-80A1-4291-83B6-3328366B9097} failed due to the following error: 80070005 Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT:0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)).

Try as they might, the Orbx guys havent been able to help me yet. I am wondering if you can give comment in specific to the CLSID and the error message. I am thinking this is something local to my PC and perhaps not the software per se. FYI, I have looked at services.msc and I have insured that BITS is turned on. I still get this error...

    Much appreciate any help.

First question, obvious maybe, but needs to be asked to start, are you trying to load the latest version of FTX Central?

I keep mine updated, but there have been quite a few changes just lately. I recently built/rebuilt my rig, and the version I had on hand would not load. Don't remember the error codes, but it was weird, to me, looking a lot like yours. After a few tries, I went to the ORBX site and downloaded the latest version, and it loaded right up, no problem.

As I said, most obvious, but I've done the same thing myself, loaded what I had from before, instead of downloading latest installer, and got bunches of errors. Downloaded latest installer, all ok. Had to do this with 3/4 of my payware stuff. Even my MegaSceneryEarth.

oh yes. the installer downloads the latest version of FTXC3. The issue comes from when it launches and cannot connect with the mothership. I fear theres something else going on. Most probably with something on my PC. I recently did a windows 10 pro reinstall. I may wind up doing it again.

Is your Windows 10 up to date ?
Also, have you tried to manually start the BITS service from the start menu -> search/execute -> services.msc ?

Sounds like a UCS problem. Have you tried starting the tool by right clicking the icon and selecting "Run as Administrator"?

Security is much stiffer with Windows 10 than it used to be.

Perhaps uninstall the tool and reinstall it using the same "Run as Administrator" method.

I can tell you the tool works fine on my Windows 10 machine. I think I did install it using the "Run as Administrator" method.
