    FSXWX with P3D 4.4

Has anyone had issues getting FSXWX to work with P3D 4.4?

I have FSXWX installed on 2 PCs. One has 4.4 installed and the other has 4.3, both PCs have FSX.

FSXWX works fine with FSX on both PCs. It also works fine with P3D 4.3.

When I try to run FSXWX against 4.4 it starts up and the log show
    SIMCONNECT connection established
    FSUIPC connection established

it then waits a few seconds and then I get
    WX DATA initial download failed
    Connection Closed

I then get a Windows error "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application"

All systems are running Windows 10

    Thanks

Gavin, I just tried FSXWX on my P3Dv4.4 install and no problems here. First I launched FSXWX, then I launched a P3Dv4.4 flight and FSXWX established the SIMCONNECT and FSUIPC connections and injected the local weather as it should.
Here is my guess what went wrong on your end: I think that during the 4.4 update the custom FSXWX wxmapping.bin file got overwritten with the stock Lockheed Martin version. To fix this you need to copy the FSXWX wxmapping.bin version from your P3Dv4.3 PC and put it in your P3Dv4.4 PC Prepar3D v4\Weather folder.
I always keep a backup copy of this FSXWX wxmapping.bin file in my Prepar3D v4\Weather folder so I can quickly restore it after a P3D version update.

    Hope this helps, Henk.

Thanks for the suggestion Henk but that wasn't it.

I went into FSXWX and disabled the auto connect feature and manually connected fine.

Went back in and re-enabled auto connect and it now works fine

    Sometimes I just love computers.

Yes frustrating isn't it I just came off trying to get FSXWX working on Prepar3d after a flawless six months on FSX. Took me almost a whole day of internet trawling and trying various fixes and then I came across this "try changing Sim time to current" and it worked.
