    Video capture?

What are you P3Ders using for video capture? In FSX I used FRAPS, but apparently FRAPS doesn't record P3D. Windows 10 has a built in video capture capability, but that "Game Bar" pops up in the middle of the screen when you turn it on, and it's "modal", meaning you can't get to the sim again until you turn it back off. So I don't like that solution. P3D itself has a video capture feature, but it won't record P3D sound. Now I'm out of ideas!

EDIT: Ok, I just didn't know how to use Windows 10's video capture thing. That may be adequate.

What video card are you using? I have a Nvidia, which does have a record feature. I have only played with it a little, but it does work well. NC

I have a Radeon RX 580. Their web site says I can install something called ReLive, which is a video capture program. Neat idea. Thanks Pete!

I use FRAPS with P3D. Not sure where the info that it doesn't work with P3D came from, but it's not accurate. OTOH, if you're using 4K, I would not recommend FRAPS,. It's s bit of a dog. I wouldn't mind finding something that doesn't have too much of an FPS impsct with 4K.
Your English is better than my French, German, Italian, Spanish.... so no worries my friends!

Well, in my case, I can tell you precisely where the "info" came from: It came from me pressing the FRAPS "capture video" button, with nothing whatsoever happening, lol. I like FRAPS, and would like to use it. Not using 4K. Am using Windows 10. But, the info you have provided is helpful. It means I just have to find the right settings, somewhere, to make it work. It works fine with FSX, which is installed on the same drive.

Just as a matter of curiosity i fired up P3D4 and hit F9.
No problems at all and my recording setting for FRAPS video setting stayed steady at 30FPS through cloud and sun.
Big file as usual but that can be easily reduced via my video conversion program.

FRAPS works for me in P3D/P4D with no issues.

I've had FRAPS working in P3Dv4, and then not working, and then working again. All in the same half hour! I think it depends on the order you open the programmes in but I haven't quite figured it out yet.

Incidentally P3D now has built in video capture, although for some reason it doesn't record sound so it's not as useful as you'd think. You need to set a key to trigger it, just search the controls interface for video.

I have used "ShadowPlay" which comes as a part of Nvidia GeForce Experience. It's easy to use and produces good results.
