Well....they crop up from time to time. Always interesting, often surprising. If the colour is just right, they seem to wash away time and create a portrait of events that appear to have been captured just yesterday. The reality becomes far more relevant, easier for younger generations to visualize...to emphasize....to understand.
Funny thing, that.......the visual image.
While perusing the morning news groups the other day, I came across (yet) another small collection of colour images from the Second World War, posted by the Guardian in the UK.
These are really good stuff.....the colour values on some of them look like they were capture recently.
....And....it's all airplane related.
