FS Aspect Ratio 2.0.1.0 is an application for CFS2 that adjusts aspect ratio of simulator screen.
It offers a windowed and (windowed)fullscreen mode.

FSAR intent is to restore CFS2 4x3 aspect ratio on 16x9 monitors.
Offers command-line parameters to start CFS2 at desired settings...
CFS2 main menu and ALT-ENTER are intercepted toggling FSAR modes.
Includes a system tray icon to refresh, set aspect ratio, exit...

I tired it but something isn't working. Can't even screen shot what loading looks like as screen shots are not taken of the game but what is behind it... My desktop.

I don't know Allen. I just downloaded link and compared files to see if there was an error in download. The program is compiled x86 for Windows XP, runs fine on my Windows 7 x64.
Manually set FSAspectRatio.ini Fullscreen=0 & 4x3AspectRatio=0 Start CFS2 in windowed mode (NEVER IN FULLSCREEN), load free flight and wait to start engine, then start FSAspectRatio.exe. An icon should appear on taskbar.

FSAspectRatio finds CFS2 main window handle, then dll creates icon from process, if it can't find handle, it does nothing, and would need killed with task manager if CFS2 is never started. The dll does everything.
When CFS2 closes, it auto closes FSAspectRatio.

I see that FSAspectRatio.exe starts first than CFS2 in Process Explorer. Also FSAspectRatio.exe is in the tray but clicking on it (left or right) has no effect.

Always make sure CFS2 is configured to start in windowed mode before using FSAspectRatio.
There is a possibility for a failure in the way I'm finding the #32770 dialog windows i.e. Main Settings, Select Aircraft...
Example: hMAINdlg = FindWindowW(L"#32770", L""); Works, but correctly using EnumWindows() for some reason fails half the time.
So, if your system has multiple #32770 dialog class windows with no window name running, my current method FindWindowW() could fail causing mass corruption.
This bug is with FSAspectRatio Fullscreen, mainly toggling between windowed and fullscreen.

I'm currently working to find a solution. The pain is these Settings Dialogs have no window name, if they did this issue would'nt exist.

Tried windowed or full screen nothing. By the time I'm at the main menu FSAspectRatio is doing nothing. Looks the same as normal but for I can't ALT+Enter or take screen shots.

I don't know why it's not working on your system. I built it compatible with XP. It's too bad no one else has given feedback. here's a screenshot in it's fullscreen

FS Aspect Ratio with WinXP SP3 x86

I dusted off an old WinXP SP3 x86 rig with a ViewSonic 22" 16x10 flat screen and tested FSAR 2.0.2.0.
It runs great!
