    Simviation problem....

Has anyone else been unable to get to Simviation lately because of a malware warning, or is it just me?

It was a false report apparently. I've just been on there, no problem.

Warning comes via Firefox but if you just ignore it you can login.

I tried Firefox (my default browser) and Opera and both display the malicious site warning.

    Things to consider:

1 - Just because they don't know it doesn't mean they aren't infected.

2 - Just because they say they don't know of any malware doesn't prove that they really don't know.

Some years ago I went to SimV and happened to pass my mouse pointer over an ad. I didn't click on it, just moused over it, and my security suite went nuts. It seemed that the page was trying to download and install a particularly nasty bit of malware that was going around at that time that included a key logger and a Trojan.

I contacted SimV immediately and told them what had happened. Someone else told me that had the same experience and that they also reported it to SimV.

SimV never replied to my message or to the other person's, and they let that ad run for the entire month. Every time I visited SimV for that month, as soon as my pointer got close to that ad, all the alerts went off.

When I mentioned it in the SOH forum one of SimV's big fans said I shouldn't complain or warn people off. They went on about how SimV couldn't cancel that ad because it had been paid for and they'd have to give the money back, and they needed that money.

I can't blame SimV for what their moronic fan posted here, but I can sure blame them for letting that ad run for a month after they knew it contained a link to a drive-by download of malware.

I think I'll stay away from SimV until this is straightened out.

Yeah, still getting the alert, even after clearing history/cache
