Odd Shots.

Resident at Tyabb/Tooradin Airfield is this Coastal Freighter.The 'Edwina May' was owned by William Maxwell Curtain, who was restoring this ship near the Tooradin airport 1970
She was run up from the nearby channel for a complete refit and rebuild by Mr. Curtain, who owned a few similar vessels that traveled up and down the East Coast.
I believe this location was suitable for the work as it was close to a large tidal channel and the area was bare of anything but a very basic landing strip......and Mr.Curtain being a local carried quite some weight!
Sadly, his son was killed in 1974 when Cyclone Tracy devastated Darwin and the Darwin Harbour.
Work on the 'Edwina May' ceased immediately and never resumed.

Some experimenting with stacking and merging multiple layers of the same image (I read about this technique thank's to Ferry!) to achieve depth.

HDR is great to play around with, my only regret is not being able to use it with moving subjects.

The surf was well up today (Wednesday) so I sidetracked myself by shooting for 'curlers' like this.




Should get a few days in the water before we head off to France!!
And a PS: I'm working on learning 'Helicon Focus' Ferry, lot of potential once I figure out how to get results.
