    A really nice airplane. But...
    I'm having a hard time trapping aboard a carrier without nosing over. Maybe I've lost my touch, but at around 80 kts at the ramp I'm not coming in too fast. Any slower and I'm in the water. Has anybody else had problems? Cees, how have you been doing?

    Hey Jerry,

    I managed to get her trapped on deck. I use these settings:

    [TailHook]
    tailhook_length=4.000 ;(feet)
    tailhook_position=-14.000, 0.000, -1.000 ;(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions fromdatum
    cable_force_adjust=1.0

    The hardcoded hook had me tip over time after time.

    Thanks Cees! I had the same problem with nosing over on every landing over the entire speed range. The new hook cfg entry works excellent!

    YoYo, if I had made a landing video it would've looked just like yours!
    Cees, thanks for the tailhook settings, I knew you'd come through. Will try them out after Thanksgiving dinner.

    It's not mine actually, but I don't recall where I got it! Glad I could help!

    The reflector sight seems to be working as an ILS Gauge is that built in to the the Aircraft or is that an add-on?

    From what I can see so is it just the ordinary reflector sight you see in the film.

    If at first you don't succeed, try, try,try again. ... or go read the manual.

    HMS Triump with excort fleet; HMS Belfast, HMAS Bataan and one C-class destroyer.

    The British carrier approach was also a bit different than the USN way, it was a curved circular approach where you kept the carrier in the left side window all the time.

    I'm in the process of adding TacPack to the Firefly. As I don't have it for FSX is there anyone with the Firefly and TacPack who can confirm my updates work in that sim?

    It won't probably have all the features of the P3Dv4 version, but it'll be more or less identical.
    Also it wouldn't be before the end of October because I'm away for a bit!

    You better count on it!!! yeahhhhhhh!

    I assume UR using ezdok, am I right?

    Can you teach me how to cycle between the cameras inside and outside? I used to have the tower view....since ezdok I can't see anymore...

    Thanks in advance!

    BTW, what a nice airplane and movie!!

    Just to let you all know that the installers have been updated with TacPack compatibility and a few other tweaks and should now be available from SimMarket and Store.Flightsim.Com.
