    Hurricane Alley!

Well Wilmington took it on the chin again. Can't remember how many storms seem to make for Cape Fear. Seems like over a dozen in my memory and I'm nearly 67. Here in Raleigh we are very lucky. In '96 Fran just barrelled up I-40 to bashed us too. Power was out for a week. Many folks much longer.Thankfully not this time. But southeast NC and northeast SC are taking a beating. Lots of rain and lowland flooding. Flooding still a major concern, not yet realized, for inland SC and western NC for many days.

Doing fine here too. The storm practically missed us entirely here in Hampton Roads.

Sun is shinning again here in Raleigh, finally. We definitely dodged a bullet this time. Southeastern NC. will be a long time getting back to normal. All roads south have been cut to Wilmington. It's basically an island, and will be so for days. As soon as the roads open and beach access allowed I'll hit the road and go check on things. It's normally only a 2hr drive, but I doubt if that will be the case for some time.
