First Ever Repaint - RealAir Citabria

This is my first ever ‘proper’ repaint using a layered paintkit - a fairly straightforward adaptation of a colour pattern in the kit to represent 7ECA Citabria G-BLHS operated by Devon & Somerset Air Training at Dunkeswell near Honiton. New bits include the Bellanca logos, Civil Air ensigns, and wheel skirt stripes & details. VC is the standard red version from the Scout package with the black panel swapped in.

There’s lots wrong with it of course - the registration font isn’t quite right, the reg’ itself is too small and far forward (in the right place the black bleeds onto the fuselage top near the tail) and the wing textures are mirrored so it can’t have the registration under the left wing.

Still and all, I had a lot of fun learning to use Paint.Net and I’m quite pleased with it. It’s amazing that this little add-on from 2007 still works in the latest P3D – that’s what I call good value!

Great work! I also use Paint.net and it's very capable of producing excellent work. And the price is right too!

Very nice, especially as one of my favourite short hops is from Dunkeswell to Exeter and back.
Rats - why won't anything work properly first time?

Nice repaint! But now you are lost You won't be able to look at a model, without wondering whether you can repaint it.......

    Cheers,
    Huub
