    Icon28 PTO beta testers needed...

    Good evening,

Whatever possessed me to do this, I'll never know....but when I was rebuilding my Pacific installations to assist Devildog73 with Meridian and Iceberg before returning to France, I noticed that Gavinc had done stock airfield modifications to fit Rhumbaflappy's newer coastlines, and that Dog1 had done stock airfield enhancements, but those had never been updated to fit the newer coastlines.

So my OCD got the better of me, I guess.

Accordingly, I went through and enhanced some of Gavinc's work as well as modified Dog1's stock airfield enhancements to fit Rhumba's new coastlines, updating the layouts to use replacements for the stock objects.

All of Dog1's airfields (save one that is not usable) has been included in this enhancement.

Please note that this is by no means finalized; I am counting on you to direct where we go from here. Once antiquated airfields are removed and other modifications are made the finished product will be uploaded, assuming of course with permission from Dog1 and Gavinc.

    Rami,

    Funny you should do this....

I am just finishing up on Meridian missions with new ships from Stuart again.

    Revamping a couple of missions.

    Put in Rhumba's mesh.

Tweaking the scenery.cfg with all the new airfield work the guys did while I was out of the loop.

Uninstalling Xavier's airfield at Palembang, etc.

Got one mission done for TF37 attacking Kure Harbor but need UncleTgt to fix up the late war Corsair textures.

What is there and what will or might be for those of us, who do not use Rhumba's mesh?

    Greg,

Not really, no. This is basically a Rhumba-only update. Most of the stock airfields were already upgraded by Dog1, Dvslats, or MaskRider anyway, this is an attempt to give some options available to those using Rhumbaflappy's watermasks.

    Rami,

    Knock yourself out (metaphorically speaking).

Since I built on the work of others it is only fair that you build on what I did.

Its been a long time since I fired up CFS2. This might get me back into it.

    Gavin
