    A question for the panel

Can you guess from where this panel comes?

Baz, as mentioned in the FSX Forums, if the hint is in that label, it's unreadable.

No, not a hint. It just says, Guess the identity of the new development from Aeroplane Heaven.

Well having googled my guesses (OK, they were more like wishes/dreams) first, I can save myself some embarrassment by keeping quiet.

But now that I've begun to wonder why you waste time modelling the back of the panel, I'm realising why my guesses were so bad. Obviously the modelling is relevant to a view that would see this...…….hmmmm, back to google!

I figure it must be a bomber of some kind wit a crew station in front. Why would jazz model the back of the panel if there was not a crew station that could see it.

I have no idea on the airplane, but the art work is fantastic.

My guess is either a HE-111 or JU-88.

    Cheers

Wrong language on the warning panel Pat but would love a JU88.

Edited...Pat was right! Sharp eye Pat. Baz just has a unique sense of humor....now, how about that beautiful Lanc you were spoiling us with in those great pictures?

The label is just temporary (as Baz mentioned in the FSX forum, it just states about guessing what the project is). As has been mentioned by a few members here, the project is a Heinkel He-111 (Baz's clue from the Battle of Britain movie in the FSX thread also confirmed that).

    He-111 instrument panel:

    Lenovo Legion T730 / Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6-5.0 GHz / 130W Liquid Cooling / GeForce RTX 2800 / 32GB DDR4 / MSI 550W PSU / 4K 43" TCL LED TV

Spot on those who picked it. The label will of course be corrected and in German on the final product!

    Now, another question.

I am in dire need of reference for all the cockpit and instrument placards. Can anyone assist please? This is a P2 - there were considerable differences between these and the later H series.

A BIG thankyou to anyone who can help.

    Great stuff, Baz!
My grandfather flew the early model, and later the Ju-88.

    Maybe this helps:

[Edit:] There's also a very nice collection of german instruments on that site. It might be possible to contact them if there are any questions. If you need someone to translate, feel free to contact me!

Here are also flight manuals and technical references for the P model He-111 (originals, in German though):

The giveaway was the photo of the 3 London boys from the movie Battle of Britain where they said "They're not Messerschmits …. They're Heinkels".

Lancaster is in final stages of testing. Should not be far away. Boxcar is getting rivets (all of them) and we've just taken delivery of another load of aircraft grade aluminium for another project...
