    Stearman

Here are a selection of screenshots of the Vertigo Studios Stearman, sporting the repaint of the N2S-1 documented as having been one of the originals flown by President George Bush Sr. during his Naval Aviator primary training at NAS Minneapolis, Minnesota during the winter of 1942/43. The aircraft today is fully restored to award-winning level/quality, and flies regularly, based at the Wings of the North museum at the Flying Cloud Airport in Minnesota. Scenery is the Turbulent Designs KMBS, over ORBX World textures, and REX4 Texture Direct sky/clouds. When I visited this restoration a couple years ago, I photographed every stencil on the exterior (such as all of the fabric spec/time-stamp stencils) so that each are present and individually accurate to the real thing.

    Really enjoying this sim!

Rob does not need to get it from his site! Must still be in testing.

Its not quite finished yet Lou.
Not really had much interest in it, I like it though.
I'm happy to fly it in its present state.
    Drop me an email......

This is an awesome looking aircraft. I don't recognize it, however. Is it a home-built?

    John,
It is one of the new breed of Light aircraft being produced in Europe.
    Made in Slovakia by "Shark.Aero".
There are a few videos of it on You tube.
If you want to try it just email me and I'll mail you back a download link.
Its not quite finished but is flyable.

    John-

I have the Vertigo Stearman... does she install into 4.2 ok? If so, she's worth a reinstall...

    Best- Carl

Yeah, it transfers over very easily. I simply installed to a temporary folder and placed the files where they needed to go within the P3D root folder (SimObjects/Effects, etc.). From all of my experiences with the aircraft thus-far, the Vertigo Studios Stearman displays and functions just the same as in FSX.

You're welcome! It is quite well done.

Now that "Sierra Sue II" has been uploaded, here are a couple of shots of the next new repaint I'm working on finishing up.

You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.

This is P3Dv3 but as nobody bothers with the 'separate' v3 area I'm loading Nigel's FS9/FSX Avro here. Not happy at all in v4 but is a delight in v3.

Sunny day, clear weather and an open cockpit!

PS: Where were you flying Stearman 18303 from, looks very 'period'?

It's an old unused section of airport at the Turbulent Designs KMBS Saginaw Intl. airport. It makes for a challenging bit of runway to operate from and provides for some interesting screenshot shooting.

BTW, Nigel's Avro is looking absolutely superb, and I am really looking forward to when it is released! Too bad it doesn't work in P3D V4, but it will be one of those number of aircraft that I will continue to keep FSX installed for.
