    Armstrong Whitworth Argosy

This looks like a great addition to Golden Wings.
I wonder is there is a version for FS2004?

Not that Argosy! Not for Golden Wings! They didn't have enormous four-engined turboprops in the Golden Age!

Ted Cook modeled the pre-war Argosy and you can find it here:

I'm getting old... How could I have missed Ted Cook's Argosy!....

    Many Thanks for reminding me.
Mike, interesting that a 'senior' knew which Argosy I was looking for..

    Cheers,

Sadly, as of February 2020 Ted Cook's web site is no more .... and the Way-Back Machine has not archived this particular model.

Can someone please upload his pre-war (1926) Argosy to sim-outhouse? The original file was argosyV1.zip

I could not find his model anywhere else. His licensing/copyright notices for other models does allow re-distribution, thankfully. I think all his models should be uploaded as an archive of his wonderful work.

OK, up the pipe it goes.

Should be available on the download page pretty soon.

Hmmmm.. the pipe seems to be clogged somehow. I'll try again in a little while.

OK, it's up. It will appear on the download page when Rami gets a chance to do his librarian thing.

Thanks Mick & Robin for your quick response and efforts to track down that model! After making my post I realized I did have that model in my archives - though I did not have the original installer as supplied by Ted Cook. Here is the original screenshot that I downloaded from Ted's site (before it closed down).

List of Ted Cook's aircraft files

By coincidence, I'm currently putting together a detailed list of Ted Cook's aircraft files - using a list I found at https://flightsimulatorjbs.blogspot....ward-cook.html
This list from the above site is incomplete - there are many that aren't listed and also many of the links are to older versions of Ted's models. Ted regularly updated his models over the years - most of them he uploaded to FlightSim, but there were some models that he only had available from his own site (http://www.tedcook.me.uk). For example, His Airco DH6 is only available as version 1.0 on various sites, but I have version 2.0 which does not appear to be on any sim site. I'm willing to share this document once I finish it.

He also uploaded to Simviation, under his full name, Edward Cook

That will be great. I'm sure that I have all of Ted's stuff.
However, I need to find them amongst my portable storage drives.
So, once you have a list, lets have a look at what we have & what is missing, so we can complete what Ted did.
If I may be so bold... Calclassic has a new Vintage forum that is becoming very interesting to us 'oldies'! https://calclassic.proboards.com/board/8/vintage-flying

My Edward Cook collection, in my library, is from various sites, including SOH, for Shessi's mods of the Whitley.
I have 87 Ed Cook files, zipped & I'm sure they are all the latest he did.. I'll eventually open then to check the names. But I also only have the Airco DH6 v1

That's a great idea Robin. I do hope that there will be enough people still using FS2004 and Golden Wings, given the hectic rush by many in the flight sim community to focus on M$'s FS2020...
It will take me a few days to complete the list - I'm including all known versions and the links to downloads available on various sim sites. I'll PM you for cross-checking before I post it.

Great, I'm looking forward to the list. I have the downloads, but not where they came from, I tried to find the latest, on Flightsim & Simviation, so I'll colate what I have with you.

Icon18 List of aircraft models by Edward (Ted) Cook

I've now collated a list of all aircraft I could find that were made by Edward (Ted) Cook and posted this as a new topic on the FS2004 General Discussion forum.

    Please discuss the topic there.

Not bad, 60 hits for the Argosy in 4 days..
That show that FS2004 stlll rocks & is amazingly popular, after 17 years. Also shows how popular the older aircraft are..
