    Iris Vulcan take-off problem

I can start the engines and take-off, but shortly afterward I loose power. Not sure that this is a P3Dv4 issue? Any advise would really be a help.

    Best regards to you all,

    Hi Bill,

I can't remember exactly what I do, but is it a fuel selection issue? I vaguely recall switching everything fuel related on to avoid any fuel problems. Certainly I managed Hong Kong to Bangkok in it in v4 (may have been using too much throttle to make Singapore!) so it shouldn't be a problem!

Also I vaguely remember I owe you a copy of the Victorious minus FLOLS, I need to reinstall Skype and I'll be in touch. Along with a photo of my dad's showing exactly where she would have been moored!

    Bill,

I think it might be an electrical issue. I remember having a similar problem in FSX, but it's been a while and a few installs ago. The problem I had seemed to be related to a missing step in the checklists, along with a missing switch on a panel. I think I found a thread somewhere that clued me into using one of the key commands to turn on a generator or something like that. I just don't remember what the key binding was.

    Regards,

No problems with her that I can recall. I haven't done long flights in her though.

Yes, helpful and got me going again with the Vulcan in P3Dv4. What is odd is the landing gear is stuck down after takeoff. Must be a switch setting somewhere? Otherwise all controls and it seems electrics on. If I reload the a/c (F10) the gear then retracts and works. Of course the engines and systems all shut down LOL so I have to spot it at e.g. 20,000 ft and glide for a bit while I go through the rapid start sequence again hopefully before getting too low!

    Vulcan Lights?

OK, you need to hit the brakes for 4 seconds to stop the wheels spinning before hitting gear up - sorted. I cannot get any lights to work except gauge lights. I see the lights xml in the panel folder, gauge entries and have the effects for these in my P3D main effects folder. The beacon and nav lights are embedded in the model. I only have air.cfg entries for the VC and landing lights. Baffled.
