Orbx buildings missing at KACK, Nantucket

I posted on the Orbx forum. Thought I would share the screenshots here as well. None of the buildings are showing up, despite the settings suggested for the scenery. I will add that all other Orbx sceneries are showing the buildings just fine. This is the first time I have had this problem.

    Here is Anacortes, WA.

    All looks normal:

    And Plum Island. Looks fine:

But then there's Nantucket (KACK); er, not so much

While I don’t have Nantucket, I do have other local airports I have had issues with, usually deleting the airport and then re-downloading it fixes the problem.

Pete do you get a scenery config message before the sim loads about that airport? The reason I ask is because when Bill went back to Orbx and his sceneries then became property of Orbx and were loaded via FTX Central I saw the same problem. I was using "Scenery Config Editor" and the path in that program was the old path for iBlueYonder while FTX Central now added that scenery in a different way. . .the two collided and I got what you see. I deleted the entries in the config editor, restarted the Sim and Nantucket was back to normal.

Thanks for your reply Ed. No, there was no scenery config msg before the sim loads the airport. I installed it with FTX Central and all seems normal, as the other scenery installs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. No change. One of the Orbx team members on their forum has acknowledged my problem, and am now waiting for one of FTX developers to reply to my post. Pete

    HI NC,

I have answered your post over at ORBX. Another user had this problem, and a reinstall of the libraries solved it for him.

Here is a copy of the post:

"Please try a reinstall of the ORBX libraries. Another user had this problem and reinstalling the libraries apparently solved it for him.

    Delete the file "FTX_AA_ORBXLIBS.TXT" which is found at: "........\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ORBX\User Documents\Versions"

Open up FTX Central 3 and install the libraries again.

Let us know if it helps."

    Cheers,
"Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there".

    Cheers,
Yep, unfortunately it did not work for me. Frustrating, as all other Orbx sceneries work as advertised. NC

Pete, did you just purchase Nantucket and only install through FTX Central or have you had it for awhile?

Ok, well that rules out anything I can think of. Just has all the earmarks of having something else interfering with it (I guess that's obvious), like another config entry or AFCAD being called for the same airport.

Thanks anyway, Ed. Am sure I will get a solution for it eventually. Probably something simple, but I just don't know. Thought perhaps that Tackpack might be interfering, as it was causing some texture problems. But I ruled that out already. Not the culprit. Pete

I had a problem once with my airports around Monterrey California (KMRY), all the airports runways were elevated with deep pits where all the runways were. Eventually I had to remove the underlying Northern California package and re-install it to get things working. I hope you don't have to re-install global vector or OpenLC North America to get it to work.

All fixed now! Thanks to tip from Doug Sawatzky, one of the moderators with Orbx Forums, I found the source of the problem. Turns out the addon, "Object Flow 2" was not enabled in the Options/Addons in P3DV4. Once I checked it/enabled, all the buildings appeared. Outstanding! Thanks all for your suggestions and help. Shows how little I pay attention to the inner workings of any of my Sims, I have never heard of that, lol

I would have thought so too, and usually DO, but not in this case. Just glad I was told about that addon menu. NC
