    Flickering effects

The picture is a still but does in fact flicker. It comes in an install with day and night eras where the TextureMagic.cfg and d3d8 files are altered for the night era to effect certain light effects, The day era should be standard shaders30 and d838. ( I can copy those if anyone thinks that is needed)

Aside from the flickering, does the effect display as you want it to? Is it accurate? That looks like a mask issue and a classic struggle with the d3d files throughout this sim. The 128 gray or black of the masks is very touchy. It often gets corrupted when compressing or converting files. It seams that the higher tech you go, the more chance there is of an over adjustment in the gizmos that prang the digital limits past the transparency settings in the RGB codes like 128 gray and so on. Happened a lot on the airfields and was made worse by the fact that the winter tiles were stacked with the simple masks.

It's perfectly ordinary banter Squiffy, "Bally Jerry, pranged his kite, right in the 'how's your father.'" - Monty Python, RAF Banter Sketch.

    squiffy, a. slang. 1. Intoxicated; drunk. 2. Askew, skew-whiff. - OED
