    Using beta?

when i had the simulator working and was flying,i could never get the beta position to work properly on my planes, mainly the Carenado ones,id like to get it to work and im asking for help here, the Carenado turbo props, the lionheart kodiack, piglets PC6,the S2T,aerosofts OV-10 (does that even have a beta setting?) and so on,the aerosoft twin otter too!..i use spadnext,it never seemed to work,if it does for any of you, please tell me what you did?..i also have the paid version of FSUIPC,but as i say,ive never gotten it to work right.

    thanks

I use that often to shorten my landing distance with Piglets Porter, just hit F2. I'm not sure, but I think it also works on the OV-10.

Not sure what yoke you're using, but if you have Saitek, you can assign one of the switches. On mine I use the switch that's located at the very bottom of the throttle axis. Look for the "Throttle (decrease quickly)" on the controls menu in-game. On my set-up I have button 21 assigned to that function. Be sure to move the "repeat" slider all the way to the right or it won't work properly.
Expect banging, belching and an occasional manly fart as you roar down the runway at full power. (I have found that the engine can make similar noises)

ok,i guess what ive been doing wrong is trying to use the "detent" at the throttle lever its self, ill try using the switch, byw im using the saitek throttle quads (two of em).

to me,its seems the lever is more realistic, isnt it?..anyway,ill use the switch..lol

Dave...the switch is the detent at the bottom of the lever itself, at least on the Saitek quad.

Dave, the detentes on the Saitek throttles will work fine.
In FSUIPC set the detente or button of your choice as followed.

Or throttle 1, throttle 2 etc. for multi engine.

Also make sure that when the throttles are closed there calibrated to -16384 as pictured or the reverses/betas wont work properly.
