Hi all
I just uploaded the Bf109F-4/Trop update package to the library. Not the most colorful 109 paint schemes but this finishes out the project to update the PR Messerschmitt models visually with new rudder shapes, new pilot figures, new historical paint schemes and all new accurate flight files. Once pstrany is able to restart the work on all new Bf109 models we can replace these, but they will serve for now.
Cheers,
Captain Kurt

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - German
Description: Messerschmitt Bf109F-4 Trop Credits
Paul Rebuffat - Original models.
Kurt Schwabauer 'Captain Kurt' - Model textures, 2D panels, aircraft.cfg, air files, and .dp development.
Paul Straney 'pstrany' - Bombs and rocket models, prop textures and .dp development.
Wolfi and Shessi - Pilot models.
Ali Cat - Bf109 oil/coolant gauge.
Paul Rebuffat gave permission to Paul Straney to use his models for further model development. That project has been underway for some time but has been put on hold currently due to some real life issues Paul is working through. In the meantime we developed a number of skins, flight files, panels and weapons which are compatible with the original Bf109 model series.
While working on the project I played around with the alpha channels in the texture files and discovered I could somewhat correct the profiles of the different mark's rudders to a more accurate outline, and that I could load the pilots from our previous Team Daedalus Fw190 project into the 109 cockpits.
Therefore while we are on hold for the new models, I can update the original models to a degree that makes it worthwhile for them to be made available - at least as place holders until the new Messerschmitt models can be finished.

Kurt,
You did a wonderful job on these, thank you for all of your hard work! It's also neat you did a separate skin for Roxane-21!

Thx again.... the bf109 never looked so good.... just out of curiosity how many models did Paul put out?
Mav
Wonderful job Captain, thank you so much for all of your great work
Beepee
Thanks all, I'm glad you are enjoying them.
To Mav,
There are 15 different mark versions, but in some cases there were up to 3 revisions. I can only guess at the total number of different mdl files over time as many earlier versions are lost to the internet ether. There may have been some marks that are lost altogether for all I know. For example, there is a 109G-4/trop but no standard 109G-4 anywhere I can find. What I have worked with here are the final (?) versions still posted somewhere.
Cheers,
Captain Kurt

Kurt,
I'm going to switch from the Sky Unlimited model back to yours for the campaign packages I've done; your flight model is much better, and she is much more responsive.
