Well, NASCAR dreamed up the specs and selected a sole supplier, team modifications are very limited. This is what you get when there is no competition.
My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
Just another area NASCAR should have kept it's nose out of. How long will it be before officials line the track with whistles and throw down flags. Rules for the sake of rules just make no sense.
The big problem IMHO, is that NASCAR wants too much standardization.
Might as well go back to the old IROC series and call it NASCAR instead....
I was thinking the same thing. Standardize every last thing, reduce the field, basically, reinvent IROC. By the way, where is the IROC series these days? I watched, or at least tried to watch, one of those races many years ago. Oh, that's right, it was boring and the series could no longer find anyone who wanted to sponsor a dull, boring race series that no one watched.
