Thread: Biplanes, maybe!

A rainy day in Arkansas (for some of us). Doing some biplane spotting enroute.

    Hi all,

All I can say is, " rain, rain, go away, and come back some other day." Oh well, we can only hope!

Buzzin' the tower in Texarkana. Thought I'd taken some more of my old hometown in Genoa, Arkansas, but this was the only one I had in the camera.

In the deep south on our way to Natchez. We had a bit of a bridge "incident" but the NDA I had to sign keeps me from talking about it.

No pics, but we had a nice flight to a private field in Mississippi called "Shade Tree". I'm not too sure we had permission to land there as I was shot down about 10ft off ground on landing. Either that or it was bird season.

Hey There! We are bbbbbback! Me think.

A lot of R/L issues kept most of us busier than heck for the last few weeks, and sometime the local weather was questionable also. So here hopping we can continue flying with all pilot's of the famous Flight 19.

Had to get a loaner for the flight to Ormond Beach.

I think they were filming "Final Countdown 2, Master and Commander" here

And had to fly over Cape Canaveral

Once we made it to Ormond Beach, I picked up this one for delivery to a museum up north

We landed at a golf course. The golfers did not appreciate the loud engines, especially the Ju-52.

Had to sell the Ju 52 to cover the greens fees. Got a deal on a floater though.

Taco and I flew on up to KFFA.

The weather looked good for a change so MM and I decided to head north across Chesapeake Bay to 1N5 (Bennett Airport) in Maryland. One more leg 'til the end of the first segment of the (modified) Cannibal Queen plan

    Howdy,

By golly, Mike, Rob and yours truly finished Phase 1 of our trek across the USA following the route of the Cannibal Queen. Now Phase 2, and I believe we will be heading west back to Boulder Co. Some rumors are floating around about a major change in aircraft nothing firm as yet.
