    Duenna V2.0.2018 R162

    Good Day all,

For the race and the newest version of the Duenna, please be sure you are running it as administrator. Several have noticed an error where it cannot read the airports.bin file which is where the directory of airports is stored. If this error does come up, the duenna still works and still tracks but it will output no airport information on where you started or ended.

Should be a simple fix to just run it as administrator and it should output properly.

    Thank you,
    Eamonn Watson

It took two tries for the airports to register after running as admin. Hope it behaves during the race.

It is not necessary to run it as administrator. All you have to do is give your log on profile full control of the folder that houses the Duenna files.

For directions on how to do this see post 7 in this thread

note you should also do this for the root Flight Simulator folder. it will solve a lot of problems caused by permissions. I do this with all of the programs I install for Flight Simulator.

The attached example was simply started by clicking the shortcut to the program.

BTW what the hell is up with the license agreement for this program. It looks like latin. Translates as Latin but still means nothing.

It's just dummy text that Eamonn hasn't replaced with real text. More info here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum

Thanks for the suggestions on folder permissions. Useful!

Dave, don't bother trying to translate the text, it is meaningless and is used everywhere as a placeholder...

This https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum explains the use quite well...

EDIT: Martin, you beat me to it!

hahaha, I just put together an installer for it, I didn't write a licence agreement.

But yes, folder permissions screw it up, but it wasn't a problem until this latest version and I'm not sure why. So either yes, set your permissions or perhaps not install it in Program Files. Stupid windows..
