    TIGER/ROLLER Flight - Mission [VIDEOS]

So here's the full mission from last night which I participated in. I'm Roller Flight (Roller 12) we're tasked with CAP over the target area. Tiger flight are F-5Es going into to strike the target. Protected by SAM's and AAA. Tornados are providing SEAD and AWACS are the Broad Comm transmissions. All other radio are live pilots from our group. Watch as I miss call FOX 1s and have a frustrating time not getting hooked up with the tanker, and a make it home in fumes with a crappy approach to the AP. Overall it was a blast. It was the first time we've flown DCS in a live mission environment with AA and SA threats live. Also the first time I've flown the Mirage in live fire. I've only flown it a handful of times operating in a mission environment. Quite different than just hot dogging around! Forgive the bad form and terrible comm procedures! It was a blast and overall a good flight. Part 2 contains the dog fight and 2 AA kills from me...I was lucky. It was really cool to hear all the comms during the flight very immersive and so so so much fun! Hope you enjoy! No music just raw footage of the whole flight! Also I haven't figured out how to have shadow play only record my PTT mic yet so you get to hear me breathing every now and again! But it fits right in. Chris was a fantastic Lead as Roller 11. Toby and Jon were party of Tiger flight as well as Chris Dad who is a former USAFE F-100 Skyblazer pilot. Note that only Chris' dad hit both the Primary and Secondary targets or any targets for that matter! ( He's 85 yrs young!).

Looked like tremendous fun, Rick! Back in the day when Microprose's STRIKE EAGLE III ruled the virtual skies, me and two of my buddies would hook up via phone modem for strike missions. We all had two land line numbers due to work requirements and it was a blast to have real-time comms during the flight! Sure beat having to fly and use the keyboard to send messages.

I'm really impressed with DCS from what I have seen and am awaiting the general release of 2.5 with anticipation!
