    FSX Sound Files Appear To Work In CFS3

    I had not tried this before, but on a whim I installed these for use with my R4D-1 in PTO, and they worked like a charm.

    The only edit I made was in the sound.cfg file where I changed the heading to:

    [FLTSIM]
    product_code=CFS3

    (Not sure if that was really needed or not.)

    The sounds for my Tempest II are by Nigel Richards for FS9/FSX. I just bunged them in without alteration and there's no problems I'm aware of.

    Used a few here and there. I thought it was common knowledge!

    Do you need to change the product code to CFS3 or doesn't that matter?

    I have several with product_code = FSIM and they work fine. In fact native CFS2 sound files use it too.

    You can also port over the FM's too, with a bit of cleaning up in the headers.
