Jerald R Ford served with distinction as a Junior Naval Officer in WWII. I have a book of photographs compiled from a group of photographers created by Edward Stichen to travel with the Fast Carriers in the Pacific. Published in the 50's or before, some of the photos in that book hang in MOMA in NYC. Aboard Monterey the fwd elevator is down and they are playing basketball. The sailor jumping for the ball is identified as Lt Jerald Ford! He is noted in spending a lot of the time during Halsey's Typhoon helping to conn the ship, which survived the storm which caused as much damage to the fleet as a major battle.

Glad to see this ship coming along! Carriers are where flt sim really meets the fleet!

    Gerald Ford CVN78

All I can say is WOW! This looks awesome. When it's finished would you be able to do this good a job of the USS America CVA-66? There IS one out there and its nice but not as detailed and all as this or Javier's Nimitz carriers. I would sure love to have my old carrier especially since CCP is now working perfectly thanks to Motus and his dedication.

Great looking Ship, CIMOGT! The lighting is fantastic.

My oldest daughter is a Plank Holder on that boat. Stationed "aboard" her before she even started her sea trials. Spent almost her entire career aboard.

    Keep up the good work!
