The minimum temperature at Trabzon at the day of the incident was 7 Celsius (44 fahrenheit) so an icy runway sounds a bit weird to me.....

I saw a report that talked of a bird strike on landing which could possibly have led to a deviation to the left (especially if it was a left engine strike). Looking at the photo in the first post and the fact that the aircraft is virtually intact it's a fair bet that it slid over the edge at a very low speed.

When you look at the tracks where the aircraft left the runway, it had nearly reached the end of the runway. So I expect the speed must have been quite low already.
Engine or brake failure seem to be the most logical explanations.

But I'm convinced we will get the final answer in a new episode of "Air crash investigations"

    Cheers,
    Huub
