    Pavel Karasek Aero 45 / 145 revisited

A forgotten gem I was willing to rework for quite a long time.
A wonderful vintage light twin, perfect for VFR cross country. It has original metric gauges. Originally designed in Czechoslovakia post-WWII by Aero (later Aero Vodochody) it has been manufactured by both Aero then Let, as Aero was busy manufacturing L-29's. Many were exported to civilian & military users, so a lot of liveries could be done.

I tweaked the MDL file, removed the reflectivity on props, so we get a nice blured prop instead of the transparent white disk, added some grey to canopy so it doesnt look fully transparent anymore.

Both metal and painted template are WIP.

    to be continued

Went to Wernigerode aviation museum, Germany, the other day. Look what is on display there:

Thanks for these nice pictures kolbenfresser. The view from this aircraft must have been great. However when I look at the way the engine is attached, I don't know whether I would like to be on board.....

Normally I trust technology, but this looks so vulnerable.

    Cheers,
    Huub
