I feel the need to be enlightened!

I'll admit that I have the occasional 'Senior Moment' and at times that gets me into trouble.
This time round I'm having a minor dispute re AC and the claim that it is a '64bit sim'.
If so it must be poorly implemented, as IMHO it doesn't perform at that level.
I stand to be corrected and welcome thoughts from my fellow AC Racers.............TIA.

According to this: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/assett...gine-reworked/ it is indeed 64-bit.
But the basic game dates back from 2011/2012, so it is getting a bit old.

    Thanks Ferry.
I remarked on Race Department (in answer to one of 'those' questions) that I'd really like to see AC in whatever new version(s) appear in the future to fully implement 64bit code.
And of course all the 'experts' gave a thorough kicking.
I was thinking that if it was '64bit' then it was pretty weedy.
Considering the comparability issues we have when it comes to FSX and P3D3 addons that will either run with issues or not run at all in P3D4, I simply felt that if AC have 'big plans for the future' then 64bit and only 64bit would be the way ahead.
'Forcing 32bit' as an option seems to me rather like 'Run in WinXP compatibility mode' under Win7.
Given that AC dates back five years ......... .....that's almost Stone Age in IT years!
However, I think it would be wise of me to refrain from any comments on RD, too many unpleasant people and IMHO very slack moderators.
