    Best freeware C-130 Hercules?

I was just wondering what’s available and what people’s opinions are?

I know the CapSim Herc is very good, I own a copy, but wondered if any freeware comes close?

    grateful for your thoughts.

    None that I've found.

    Icon9 Bad experience

No good freeware 130's that I could find. Also would not recommend Capt. Sim due to their C-130 not being compatible with today's systems. I bought it, tried to install and wasn't able to get it going. Their refund policy requires a handling fee that was greater than my purchase cost, and that was for a direct download.

Really? The CS C-130 works fine in FSX and P3D 1-3. Just not v4.

The Captainsim C130 works fine for me in FSXA and win7 64 bit.

There's the freeware Alphasim C-130, I don't know how it would measure up to the Captain Sim one though. It's an old model, but I think it still looks reasonably good and it has a VC and it's not bad.

A bit dated but still nice. A few repaints available too. Not sure how it'll do in P3D.

Thank you, Blackbird! The SimShed C-139 is awesome! They really captured the mass of that aircraft and translated it to FS9.

Re: the SimShed C-130 discussed above, there are two different versions of the plane available, and you don't want the stock one; but rather the one that is the Royal Danish Air Force version... a totally different plane from the standard one. Follow the link posted above and you will get it. Forget about the standard SimShed version.
