    Groundhandling package for P3Dv4

    Hi,

    Is anyone interested in an upload of my good-old Groundhandling package for P3Dv4 ?

    I made an upgrade on request of a user who migrated from FSX to P3Dv4.
    Besides the 64-bit compatibility, I also added a few new things:
    - A new Taxispeed gauge, works now accurately for any aircraft.
    - Besides the old-style pushback (using the FSX/P3D embedded pushback function), I added a free-style pushback so you can steer the aircraft yourself during pushback.
    Of course still with all the Tug-Cockpit conversations.

    Cheers, Rob

    Rob, is it your intention to also upgrade the FuelStat gauge as well?

    Cheers

    Useful Fuel Stat Gauge
    « on: April 25, 2015, 19:56:49 pm »

    Many of you will already have this gauge installed in your aircraft, but if not, it is particularly helpful with the Electra when trying to match FSE Fuel flow stats. It consists of three files (attached). The RKG_buttons.gau.gif and the RKG_fuelstat.gau.gif need to be renamed by deleting the .gif at the end of each file name (since our forum doesn't allow files with the .gau to be uploaded). The file names should look like this:
    RKG_buttons.gau and RKG_fuelstat.gau

    All three files need to be installed in the panel folder of the aircraft

    Then open the panel.cfg file with a text editor (Notepad, for example)
    The first section, titled [Window Titles] lists all the gauges and panels on the aircraft in sequence eg Window00=Main Panel
    Scroll to the end of this section and add this line:

    WindowX=FuelStatGauge The X needs to be replaced by the next number in the list of Windows, so if the last Windows title is Window09, then the line you add would be Window10=FuelStatGauge

    Now scroll down the file further, and you will find a sequence of Windows, starting with [Window00] which lists the gauges in each window. Scroll down to the last of these, then after the last one, copy and paste the following:

    [WindowX] (Replace the X with the number you gave earlier)

    file=RG_fstat.gif
    Background_color=0,0,0
    size_mm=200
    windowsize_ratio=1.5
    position=1
    visible=1
    ident=FUELSTAT_PANEL

    gauge00=RKG_fuelstat!FuelStatusSq_turbine_spd, 60,20,100

    Now save the panel.cfg file, fire up FSX, load your aircraft, and you will find in the Views/Instrument menu the additional item FuelStatGauge. select it, and you will find the gauge displayed as a window which can be resized etc. The gauge shows your current fuel consumption, the amount of fuel used, the amount of fuel remaining, distance to empty and a host of other features

    Hi Pat, Sue,

    Sorry, this fuelstat gauge wasn't mine.
    I think this is an old FS2002 gauge created by Robert Guy.
    I don't know who bundled it with my GH5 package, but this is coded in C(++); I only program XML gauges.
    So I can't help you with an P3Dv4 update for it.

    Rob
