Interesting model but, sorry, the intro is wrong. In may 1940, the D520 was just entering service in the French Air Force (Armée de l'Air). This time was the beginning of the battle of France and France was not able to sold any aircraft to other countries. More, one month later Italy was declaring war on France and Great Britain. But in 1943, a lot of D520 captured after the november 1942 German invasion of France Free zone in rupture of 1940 june 25 armistice conditions (and in response to the Torch operation in North Africa) were retroceded to Italy member of axis. Bulgaria, also, received D520 captured and some build for this purpose. The Italians pilots took possession of these aircraft at Istres AB.
