Thank you Mark. And thanks, in no small part, go out to Wellis for his outstanding paint kit.

Thanks Huub. Paint chipping is nearly done. Giving my paint hand a break for a bit!

I can't see any on this thread, in spite of going through it twice just... Has anyone done any repaints for the 409th BG (640th (W5), 641st (7G), 642nd (D6), 643rd BS (5I)), who flew A-20s for the 8th AF out of Little Walden in 1944?

I've got most of Little Walden done now - just need to plumb it together and add all the spectacles (because I'm trying a different way of doing those that will hopefully look a lot better) so it would be nice for it to have a resident to fly from it to represent the 9th Air Force. If not, I guess I need to do one.

    Cheers,

    Ian P.

    Hi Jankees,

Unfortunately the only one that ever comes up on Google Image searches is this, which I've found in numerous places.

    https://media.defense.gov/2005/Dec/2...-1234P-045.JPG

I don't have any real 9th AF books or sites bookmarked, because I've concentrated on the 8th AF strategic side, rather then the 9th AF tactical air war. I was hoping that someone here with more resources might have more!

Time for a few more A-20s at this end. The first in a series of three A20G shark mouth examples from the 3rd BG, 90th BS, New Guinea 1943-44 I have been working on. Scremen Demen (sic), this one; Amorous Amazon (next); and "Barry's Baby" (number three). Will also provide FS9 versions.
