    Yes well done.

It is something that is sadly lacking nowadays called friendship, teamwork and group effort.

    Cheers Chris

I second the above request for South East Asia/Vietnam textures...and is it possible to have one of the models a AC-119 gunship version?

Textures could probably be accommodated but changing the aircraft to an AC-119 would take an awful lot of work as it would mean significant changes to the exterior model (guns and gun ports, smoke ventilation systems, flare systems, search light, etc.), the interior model (a total rework of the interior cargo area to add all the gunship components) and the VC to build in the various systems and gun sights, etc. It has taken two years to get this far due to various reasons and doing all the above could add another year to the project before it gets released. I very much doubt that I would consider doing an AC-119 until after all the other projects I have on my plate are completed and that could be years away the way things have been going recently.

    Superb model

With the excellent texturing by TG one can better see the detail of the modeling.
    Well done....

That's amazing work tankerguy. The C-119 is getting the exterior details that it has needed to compliment the work Larry has put into her. This has all the earmarks of being the awesome release it was meant to be. Thanks for stepping up and showing what can be done.

Much appreciated! Im honored to help get this project moving again. Have some friends who flew the box in RL and I am happy to give it a little TLC in the simworld.

Hi Marty, do you have skills in any particular area like texturing, FDE, modelling, coding etc.?

EDIT: Milton just filled me in on your history Marty and I'm sorry I didn't recognize you immediately (I blame the fact that I only recently woke up...lol). I will shoot you a PM shortly.

That is a jet engine, IIRC it was very helpful in improving the -119s economy and shortening the takeoff roll

As Ed said it's a JATO pack (Jet Assisted Take Off) and it was fitted to later Boxcar variants to improve their short field capabilities when heavily loaded.

Thanks to some very clever coding by Roman to get around the multi-engine type restrictions in FSX it is now a fully working system and produces extra thrust when initiated. There is also an option to show/hide the JATO pack so that you can choose which version of the 'G' model you want to fly. Hiding the JATO pack will also hide the associated controls in the VC. In addition, having the JATO pack displayed will increase the overall weight of the aircraft as that is also built into the code.
