    It's been a while...

For assorted reasons I have been running silent & deep here for a long time. Given the recent activity regarding the P-61 I guess it's time to surface and transmit a report on what I am up to these days.
My commercial project is getting close to the testing phase. I have been creating a Cessna Citation XLS+ for EagleSoft.

I have recently revisited the plane that started it all...Dad's Thorp T-18. My original model lacked the final polished metal version he made as I could not get a decent texture for it. I also have much better reference material. My original model was close, but between the new reference material and much improved modeling skills I realized that the first model I did could be made to look much better. P3D V3 is able to render a much improved reflection that I have been able to make work. I have a serious interest in making this project the absolute best that I can do. Dad passed away late last year. He turned me on to things that fly.

And there is also another lurker that has been asked about recently. The P-61. I am currently assessing the state of the model and working on what I will need to do to bring it up to my current standards. My intent is to work on it in parallel to the Thorp.

I know better than to postulate completion dates on projects. I work on them steadily, but the pace is slower than it used to be. In a way for me it is the creation of the model that is more satisfying than flying it. I think I got that from my Dad, as he once told me that flying the Thorp was fun, but he enjoyed building it more.

Fantastic news! The Citation looks great, as do the others.

As a dev myself I know how unhealthy it can be to be pressured to work either by myself or from others. Expecially if one does these things in spare time. Take it easy.

    Cheers,

That P-61 is coming home.. And P3D is taking the appearance of it too whole new levels. The pics below are from a model made in 2012. Tell me that aint gorgeous ::LOL:: The team is moving ito gear and we're going to be bringing it too you as promised.

Keep in mind though please, that we all have multiple priorities that must be attended too, so none of us can spend the sixteen to eighteen hours a day working on like we did before 2013. We all, want this to be the best and most realistic flying experience you can have.
