    Another P-38

    DV,
Here's another one for you. This is a P-38H-1-LO flown by Capt. D.C. McGee. "Staten Island or Bust". 80th FS, 8th FG.
I only have a very small picture to work from, so I figured the lettering, kill flags and other markings would be the same as Welch's. Also, to keep with how he had his P-39, I figured it would be two-sided. I'll clean it up and have it uploaded soon.

Wow Bob, that one looks really sweet! Took a little break and loaded your previous release. Now he has got a wing-man to match.

Looking forward to your new one,
    Dave

    Hi All,
I just realized that I never uploaded the P-38. The last couple of weeks have been a little chaotic and a sudden loss to the family didn't help. I'll get it together and uploaded. Sorry for the delay.

    Bub,

For some reason, your upload didn't take. I sent you a PM.

Re-uploaded, it seems to have gone through this time. Don't know how I screwed that up.

    P-38H-1-LO D.C. McGee.zip

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - American

    Description: Hi All,

This is my rendition of the P-38H-1-LO, ser# 42-66535, flown by Capt. Donald C. McGee, circa April 1943. At the time, he was assigned to the 8th FG, 80th FS.

Many thanks to David C. Copley for his wonderful P-38 series and to Sopwith for a great paint to start from.

Install as you would normally and all legaities apply.

    Thanks and have fun,

    Bob McGee (Bub)

    Hi All,
I received a PM from Ivan informing me of the H model differences. Thanks for that. I dug up Copley's H model and put the skins on it. It needs a little adjustment. When I finish those I'll upload the fixed version so it will be specifically for that model. His H model can be found here in the Library. Thanks again to Ivan for his "sharp eye" in pointing this detail out to me.

    No problem, Bub.

I really like P-38's as you might have already guessed.
