I really like what you're doing with these AI ships and thank you..!

Could you add "light" smoke to Slava class ship?
And lighten smoke on Udalloy..? it seems too heavy for gas turbines.
(Udalloy has 4 stacks as well.....)

    Thanks again...

Boy, I must have be en drinked arf me arse when I did these, and sommat 'orrible happened to 'em, too.

Its got a new, full hull, less that giant wiener of a sonar installation, looka how smooth that sucker is! Note the chamfer on the foredeck. With that curving deck, you'd not believe what a pain that was. Armament and rads off in groups to accommodate the I & II, all the assembly crap and file marks taken out, chopped a bunch of vertices and, if I've done it right, there should not a back face in it. Almost there.

Alpha pass Udaloy I and the Skup file. Much better, easier to work with, too. The night and texture maps need a run through the paint department.
Some holes yet to be punched in railings, and I have to bang out new radars- I just merged in a set from the spares box. After the 1155A, which is a breeze, now.

Previous alpha file superseded. 1155 and 1155A, basic maps splashed, nice, tight meshes. The mapping hasn't changed, straightened out the anchor hawsepipes and bow. The files came in nice and light, so I threw some extra Nautickal Crapp on around the quarterdeck- the soviets have a boat load of doofer welded onto these tubs. No show stopping fumduckers, yet. Much better base file.
    Skup and MDX.

It's a shame those wake effects don't work with P3d.

The NSD wakes are really nice-they don't kill frames, and they're sized for soviet ships already. Too bad for the P3D folks. I gather that things are other wise aright in the later sim edition? The effects are easy enough to swap out- they're in the cfg file.
I keep looking at P3D, but bathymetry isn't enough to make me want to switch( never see anyone using that feature), FSX has become an amazing sandbox and runs very well, the bugs are mostly well documented and understood at this time, it's finally a mature sim and the hardware has caught up. Maybe in a few years. I guess the cure is to dig around in Henrik's effects files, which are P3D compatible.
I'll leave it in your capable hands, now. The herculean task of overhauling four ships to an acceptable standard in a week and banging out a C check in the world at the same time has allowed no interval between the seconds for messing with the effects in a sim I have no access to.
Excuse, please. Left me eyeballs soaking in a jar of pickle brine to re-hydrate.
